Elite Designs is a husband and wife team, married in 1996 and have been living in Burton Latimer since 1999. We have been designing photo cross stitch since around 2000 but decided to go into the stitching industry full time in 2004, previously we had been running part time. Elite Designs is our livelihood, not just a hobby.
Liz resigned from her part time hospital admin post to concentrate on cross stitch photo charting full time. This is due to the success of our designs and increased demand for our photo charting service. She has been cross stitching herself for over 10 years and enjoys a good challenge. When not cross stitching she will often be pottering around in the garden ensuring there is always plenty of food for the masses of birds and other wildlife that we get.
Terry is an experienced computer programmer and web developer, musician playing in a successful local band and carpenter who enjoys making wooden games and has recently designed and built our kitchen from solid oak.
We have converted many photos for ourselves such as family, pets and holiday destinations. We are quite often planning the next project whilst on holiday.
We are both avid rugby fans and are season ticket holders at Northampton Saints Rugby Club. This inspired us to design kits of their mascot ‘Bernie’ the St. Bernard dog which were accepted and sold by the club. We have also designed bookmarks and calendars for the club which were extremely popular. We are in the process of designing kits for other rugby clubs as there has been a huge rise in interest from female supporters. The kits make wonderful presents for adults and children alike.
